David Beckham Shares The Spotlight With Oshawa Turul S.C.

Soccer 360 in its November 2008 edition printed pictures of the Oshawa Turul 92 B girls in its international edition. The team shares a full color page with English international and MLS superstar David Beckham. The Club is prominently represented by our '92 girls coached by David Starkey. The team were winners of the BMO Win & Play Like The Pros Contest. They received VIP attention and practiced side-by-side with Toronto FC players.

Oshawa Turul Soccer Club is proud of our girls and delighted with the international exposure the publication will provide.

This player development program is for any player wishing to improve their soccer skills. Focus is on skill development and not on competitive games. Led by Coach Sean Piggott, players will receive an Academy t-shirt and 1 hour of soccer drills with some fun small sided games. This program does not take the place of any house league program currently existing and should enhance current community based soccer leagues.

Come and train on our new turfed Springer High Performance Center. Practices will take place (October 15 to December 17, 2007 and January 7 to March 25, 2008) from 6:00 to 7:00pm every Wednesday at Dnipro Hall (lower level) at 681 Dnipro Blvd in Oshawa (Ritson and Bloor) Registration can be done by emailing the Club at oshawaturul@gmail.com or by registering in person at Dnipro Hall (lower level) with Coach Sean Piggott.

Directions to Dnipro Hall and Field.

Welcome

Thank you for visiting the official home of the Oshawa Turul Soccer Club.

Oshawa Turul SC, founded in 1967, is Oshawa's oldest and most respected competitive elite soccer club.

The game of soccer has been played for over 2,000 years. Known as the "beautiful game", soccer is considered the world game. The sport is supported by over 190 member countries participating in the World Cup through the world governing body FIFA. The most recent World Cup recorded an accumulated television audience of over 40 billion viewers.

Soccer is played by young and old because it is fun, easy to play, promotes health and fitness and is reasonably inexpensive. In Canada, the game is being played by one out of three kids and two of five players are female. Soccer became Canada’s number one participant sport in 1996 and Ontario’s registrants make up 45.0% of Canada’s playing population.

Oshawa Turul SC is an integral and vibrant member of Oshawa's soccer community. The club has flourished over the years because of the contribution of many great people, players, coaches and administrators.
